PEPperCHIP® Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 Proteome Microarray
PEPperPRINT has developed a peptide microarray against the genome of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2, previously 2019-nCoV) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic that was discovered late 2019.
The microarray is effective for purposes such as:
➤ identify, profile, and compare specific IgG and IgM antibody responses in patient or animal sera
➤ screen viral antigens to find and characterize immunodominant epitopes
Example Usage – Antibody Fingerprinting
The entire Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 viral proteome is translated into overlapping peptides and printed onto glass slides. Patient sera is incubated on the chip and antibodies present in the sample bind to epitopes recognized within individual peptides. The resulting response profile may be compared across different samples to monitor B-cell responses over time, or to determine immunodominant epitopes that may be further validated as potential disease-specific biomarkers.
