IE NEO is a next generation western blot blocking & enhancer solution that attempts to solve these problems. With IE NEO’s state-of-the-art nanoparticle composition, it can significantly shorten the incubation time per experiment and achieve clearer signals & reduced background while remaining completely protein-free.


Feature 1 – Unparalleled Signal Enhancing

IE NEO is designed to enhance the signals even at low protein concentrations. This coupled with the IE NEO’s special blocking properties of the PVDF/NC membranes allow for significantly less background and stronger signals compared to skim milk and even other commercially available western blot enhancers. With traditional methods of western blot, it is common to have to incubate membranes overnight in skim milk and come back the next day to finish up with the experiment. With IE NEO greatly reducing the amount of steps required before imaging, western blot can easily be done in an afternoon’s time. Protocol Comparison
Proceed with the regular western blot protocol until completing the PVDF / NC membrane transfer step.
Block with Skim Milk for 1 hr to Overnight Immerse 1-3min in PBS
Wash 3 times (10min/wash) with PBST/TBST ★Incubate with 1° & 2° Ab diluted in IE NEO for 1-2 hr at RT
Incubate with 1° Ab in appropriate buffer for 1-2 hr at RT
Wash 3 times (10min/wash) with PBST/TBST
Incubate with 2° Ab in appropriate buffer for 1-2 hr at RT
Wash 3 times (10min/wash) with PBST/TBST
Continue with the desired image development methods (ECL / NBT/ etc.)

IE NEO allows the primary and secondary antibody to be incubated together in a single incubation step. This greatly simplifies the experimental procedures, making it much easier to handle and much faster to get results back.
